Carl Denard earns grant for high-risk protease research

Chemical Engineering Assistant Professor Carl Denard has received an 18-month, $150,000 grant from the Hypothesis Fund to advance high-risk research on engineering proteases. His work combines protein engineering and AI to explore new approaches to treating diseases, including cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative disorders.
